A fantastic evening to be on the water with six guests. There was almost no wind and flat seas. We saw a few small rafts of male sea otters as we left Hardy Bay and a short time later saw our first of three humpback whales. With the help of the Marine Education and Research Society, two of the three were identified as Hunter and Galaxy.
We continued west where was saw more sea otters , including dozens of mums with pups. A couple hundred Steller sea lions were seen on a remote haul-out, lots of eagles and sea birds were fishing and on the way back to the dock we saw two black bears foraging along the tide line.
